M*A*S*H Fanfics

Gomer Says Hey:
I've found that M*A*S*H is a surprisingly hard show to write fanfics for, mainly because one instinct you have as a fanfic author is to take the work into a slightly different and unexplored direction... but M*A*S*H already did that: it went in a comedic direction (Seasons 1-7) and it went into a dramatic direction (Seasons 8-11)... but somehow, in amongst all of that, I managed to write a few little fics over the years.

Here's a brief rundown of my M*A*S*H fanfics (as you can probably tell, they usually take place during Seasons 6-7):

I Need Some Sleep - Radar is tired of everybody waking him up in the middle of the night to make personal phonecalls, and tries to find a new place to bunk at night.

Thanks for Nothing - The 4077th is down in the dumps for spending another Thanksgiving away from home.

Period of Adjustment - AU rewrite to introduce my OC, Sergeant Jason Shadrach, to relieve Klinger of trying to fill Radar's shoes.

The Harder They Fall - Note: VERY OC heavy MASH units adopt a nurse rotation program, and Shadrach falls in love with a nurse on rotation from the 8063rd, despite having a boyfriend. Based on something that actually happened to me, but highly fictionalized for the sake of storytelling.

I would just like to point out that I find Radar totally irreplaceable, and I think the writers and producers made the right decision to simply promote Klinger to company clerk rather than replace Radar altogether (Rizzo actually was originally going to be Radar's replacement till they made him Zale's replacement instead), however, I wanted to see what it might have been like if perhaps I-Corps sent someone a little more competent and suitable for the job (supposedly) since Klinger was such a rotten company clerk.
