Gomer goes to the Marines

What did you think of the Gomer Pyle spinoff,GOMER PYLE,USMC?
I liked it pretty well.It did well in the ratings, and ended a year after TAGS.Unfortunately,it left reruns around the 70s,and after a brief stint on TVLand,it's not available on TV anymore. However, all five seasons are available on DVD,and there's a ton of bootleg episodes on YouTube.

GOMER PYLE, U.S.M.C. was on MeTV for a while, though by the time my cable provider finally offered MeTV, I don't think it was on anymore.

I've never really gotten to see it, so I really don't know if it's any good or not... I think I've only see one episode, where I think Gomer and Carter had midnight munchies, but whatever it was they ate seemed to reverse their personalities, and Gomer became tough-as-nails and commanding, and Carter became kind of wimpy and simple-minded.
