Title: Who Do You Prefer?
Post by: Gomer Says Hey on January 31, 2014, 09:42:49 pm: Over the years, TAGS went through a small number of replacement characters, so the purpose of this thread is to discuss who you prefer of the characters, the original, or the replacement.

For example, do you prefer Mayor Pike or Mayor Stoner? Gomer Pyle or Goober Pyle? Barney Fife or Warren Ferguson? Well, okay, that last one was pretty dumb to ask, but you get the idea.

Pike was certainly a fit for Mayberry, though Stoner brought a different level of slight antagonism with his efforts to get Andy to advances his methods of sheriffing, only for his efforts to backfire because Andy's ways always work better for everybody.
